Manitoba 150
Manitoba became the fifth province of Canada in 1870. In honour of Manitoba 150, the Manitoba Archaeological Society is featuring archaeological work conducted at sites occupied when the province entered Confederation. In 2021, we will be adding information about a variety of sites, including Riel House, Lower Fort Garry, Upper Fort Garry, Seven Oaks House and many others. We hope you enjoy learning how archaeological investigations have contributed to our understanding of these sites, the buildings on them and their former inhabitants.
